Forthcoming 2nd Drop Records 18.06.2012.
As already noted elsewhere, it is a rude tune, dark and stepping. Backed with the Tessela remix of DJ Rum - Turiya. This one on a jungle vibe. Its a perfect combination in my opinion, covering multiple styles. They will be usefull weapons in Bass music DJ sets.

For a lot of reggae-lovers the last years were a hard and rocky road to go. The output just does not feel and particularly sound as good as one would like it to be. To repetitive, to flat-sounding, excessive use of voice-effects such as vocoder to cover the non-abilities of the singers, ect.
Nevertheless there are good productions out there and the last months has seen some outstanding releases, mostly coming from the uk (ofc). The tunes are well produced, having deep and organic basslines, using effects to add ambience (not to cover weakness) and they are complemented by the voices of DJs or Singers. By that they are not only creating that certain dub-vibe but also an oldschool feeling so many older reggae lovers are missing from a lot of the reggae productions of the last years. The releases are including great remixes by producers from the dubstep scene, who are adding their own interesting and versatile ideas of deep, bassline intensive soundsystem music. Here I want to give place to three of those releases.
Coming out of the Vibration Lab, this riddim is deep and dubby. The sweet voice of Linval Thompson is the perfect add to the bassline, creating a very organic feeling. Four remixes and three dub versions are accompanying the original tune, any one of them providing a certain interpretation of the original tune (e.g. check the trumpets on the Adam Prescott remix). Without exceptions the remixes and dub versions are all heavyweight business, created to make your subwoofer work. It is a crucial release, pressed on two vinyls.
Alpha Steppas are pushing this kind of style for some time now and their releases never disappoint. In march they released the Alpha Steppas meets Jahyu E.P. (listen to it here). The E.P. has a strong dubstep feel to it, with some mid-range wobbles and half-time beats. To the contrary June sees the release of their first 7 inches in a double set. A percy for all soundsystem lovers, it is orientated towards reggae and steppa riddims, no half-time beats on it at all.

The city center is physically blocked, either by police or by the traffic jam, which is caused by the police actions and street blocks.
Oh Irony…
Been diggin Waltons Hyperdub release. His UK Funky Eski House beats are brilliant and force the hips to move like nothing else, This one will be released digitally and on vinyl as well, which comes with handmade sleeve art. Will be out on Hsuan Records.
Big Times!

This is one good work out for your subwoofer. Don’t listen to it if you ain’t got one. Only letdown is the length of the preview. Hopefully forthcoming on whatever label.
Amazing news arriving from Brisol, again!
After some considerable intense internet hype all around Percy, which builds up on a youtube-video featuring a car ride in Bristol rinsing Percy, Kahn and Neek will release the tune with Fierce on the B-side on their very own label Bandulu in June.
Since Kahn beats all sound unbelievable powerful on an appropriate system one can positively imagine the force of sound this release will offer.

As one might expect Sigga Tunezias Tape features a lovely selection. Weekend-, after-work-, sunshine-, holiday- feelings!
Hypercolour LTD release. Fresh sounds, thick atmosphere and a lot of variety on this EP. From mysterious warm up tunes to dark dancefloor bangers.
Clean, futureristique sound somewhere at the genre borders.
Strictly limited release, on white 10” vinyl. The first release sell out within hours and you can suspect this one to sell out fast as well.
Yes, thats lots of 4’s.
The Producer out of San Francisco, one of Joe Nices’ favorites, will release on four different labels in the next 4 months. He just uploaded the previews on his soundcloud. They are covering an impressive bandwidth of styles, from house to bassline to dubstep. Plus: He is giving away one fantastic tune for free. Grab it here.
Its hard to pick a favorite, but right now the deep and ravey Tectonic single is the one I like most.
Behling & Simpson vs James Fox - Work That Body [Forthcoming Futureboogie]
Killer-Combo bringing Bristolian House Vibes, out on May 14th.
The latest tune of the Istanbul beat creator is building up such an intense, dense athmosphere, its incredible. Drums + chopped vocals + reverb are lovely.
Also check out Gantz’s Soundcloud for a free release.

Vinyl Only Mix I put together 2 weeks ago.
Funky-Vogue-House.
One can not put more effort into promoting vinyl culture as DJ Stryda does, so much positive emotions in what and how he is saying it.
Limited release, 180gr vinyl, handstamped sleeves, hand stamped vinyls.
Release Date 9th of April.
One can address a lot of attributes to the first releases of ClekClekBoom; deep, dark, heavy, including down-pitched r’n’b and grime vocals, but they were not on a funky-house tip. This is significantly changing with their next upcoming release. Will be pressed on 180gr vinyl, heavyweight business to be felt on the dancefloor.

Lesen!Literally lovely vibes to reconcile with the upcoming monday. Go check out his soundcloud, you won’t regret it.
… and another huge release seeing the light of day next week. Anyone keen in bass and house music can’t complain about the recent output.
New release of Dark Sky forthcoming at the end of March on Black Acre.
1 F-Technology
2 Tremor
3 Zoom
4 Totem
Heavy tune, dark, moody and raw. Getting released on 26th of march.
The Streets - Has it Come to This (Kry Wolf Rework)
Have to reblog this for a friend. Vibes for a downtown cruise, aint it?
Or is it Ghetto UK-Funky Gospel House?
Can’t be to sure about it. But the remixes are criss. The new era of dancehall beats is not to far away from UK Funky drums anyway. The tunes athmosphere match with Mavados voice nicely and they create a certain dark feeling, including organic build ups.
In my opinion, dancehall music needs more tunes like this. Let’s pray.
If you are into heavily reggae and steppa dub inspired dubstep tunes you should know about Radical Guru and the bristolian legend RSD. Gurus’ Rootsteppa EP on Moonshine Records now gets the remix treatment, including a work by RSD. Needless to say, that the tune contains a rolling baseline to shake it properly.
Also on the EP are remixes by Killawatt, Hatti Vatti and Adam Prescott. The former just released insanely good tunes on BlackBox and Boxclever. And he doesnot disappoint. Listen to it on a proper system, cause the base is to be felt, which of course applies to all the tunes on the EP.

It’s not right, but it’s okay….
Thats how Jackmaster started his live set at Warehouse in Dec’ 2011, in a time noone knew about the latest sad events.
Numbers recently uploaded his set to their soundcloud. Its packed with his bass music highlights of 2011 and if you know about uk house and bass music, you should know about what this means for the quality of the said music.
You can get the Download link over at numbers’ soundcloud.
